Am-MetricSeal™
manufactures replacement American and metric mechanical shaft seals for submersible, sewage
and water pumps used in the wastewater and mining industries.
In 1961, Bob Hadley created his first seal company, Mechanical Seal Service, when seal
manufacturers sold parts to pump repair mechanics. Because of poor fieldwork conditions,
this method of seal repair was proven unproductive. So Bob Hadley decided to
bring the old seals in shop to clean, inspect, and repair what was necessary -- creating
the first true seal repair shop.
Since many pumps used packing, pump repair and seal conversion became a very
important part of the seal service industry. Over the years, Bob Hadley
created and sold several seal companies, all of which are thriving today.
More than thirty years ago, Keith Hadley's career began his trade in his father's second
seal company, Redeseal®. Beginning as a machinist, Keith Hadley later
worked as a pump mechanic and advanced to lead technician position, then to chief
designer. His apprenticeship knowledge coupled with a Mechanical Engineering degree help form the base for
Am-MetricSeal,
Inc.
Keith Hadley began focusing on Metric mechanical seals in 1992, complementing his twenty-one
years of experience with American seal products. These two fields meshed and are the foundation of
Am-MetricSeal,
Inc.
